Happy birthday me! I'm a quarter century old!
Ericka's mare had her filly on Friday. She was born with complications and died at three days old. She was beautiful.
Now I found out my first pony died in December. The girls at my old farm thought someone had told me, but they didn't. She died while I was home. I could have said goodbye if I had known.
"Somewhere... somewhere, in time's own space, there must be some sweet
pastured place. Where creeks sing on, and tall trees grow, some
paradise where horses go. For by the love that guides my pen, I know great horses live again."
...to be anything but happy.
It took me almost 25 years to learn friendship. I just recently cut someone out of my life because I couldn't be myself around her. That is not a friend. I tried to be friends with her and realized, you shouldn't have to try. A friend is loyal to a fault. They are honest even when you don't want to hear it. They get angry with you but forgive. They deal with your shortcomings as you deal with theirs. I have friends. Wonderful, amazing, fantastically good friends.
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it...
Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can't change. Kiss slowly, play hard, forgive quickly, take chances, give everything and have no regrets. Life's too short to be anything but happy.
People are going to love you, hate you, hate to love you, and love to hate you, but the ones who mean the most will always be there."
hopefully our girls are frolicking together and Blue is teaching Daizy to walk, finally. That would make me smile. read more
