Ericka's mare had her filly on Friday.  She was born with complications and died at three days old.  She was beautiful.

Now I found out my first pony died in December. The girls at my old farm thought someone had told me, but they didn't.  She died while I was home. I could have said goodbye if I had known.

"Somewhere... somewhere, in time's own space, there must be some sweet pastured place. Where creeks sing on, and tall trees grow, some paradise where horses go. For by the love that guides my pen, I know great horses live again."

Horses are my life, what can I say.

Eleanor Brennan died on Saturday, she was 21 years old.  Who is she?  She was one of the top riders in her discipline (not the same that I do).  Her horse hit a fence and flipped over on top of her.  She died in the hospital from chest and head injuries.

I know horses are dangerous.  No, I'm not afraid of them. If I was, I wouldn't have gotten back on after my first fall 15 years ago... or when I was fallen on, stepped on, thrown into fences and walls. There are a lot of dangers out there, but some of us just happen to also be in love with them.  C'est la vie.

I went to St Petersburg at 830am to look at condos for my dad (he comes down the 29th).  Drove 2 hours there, met with the relator and drove 2 hours back.  The last 45 minutes were the worst it wouldn't have matter if I had gotten 6 hours or 10 hours of sleep last night, I was wiped (I got 8 btw).  When I got home at 3pm my back was killing me, I was tired, I knew the work I had to do and I was stressing.

I get home, J comes over "Want to ride Cramer?" Tired? Sore? Stressed?  Busy? Not anymore.
